If more states were on board for legalizing it, the Federal government would shut its trapper real quick.

it's mindboggling that this is still an issue. drug enforcement is nothing but a for-profit travelling circus, and everybody knows it. the idea of these freaks actually believing weed is harmful is more depressing than them all actually being evil power diddling variations of Nurse Ratched

I sincerely doubt anyone controlling policy sincerely believes weed is harmful, and if so it is certainly not a motivating factor.

These guys get in position by demonstrating their unwaivering rhetoric.

Check this Paul Chabot dude. You'll never break tools like this and thats what we are dealing with.

former senior advisor on drug policy to the clinton administration? he says hes 36. That would put him in his mid 20's. ha. I wonder who his dad is.

Fuggin Obama... not sure what happened, but this is on him...

When he first took office and announced the feds would lay off, the industry really took off here in Cali. Over a hundred dispensaries started up in the south bay alone in just over a year... Oakland and San Jose are taxing it and bringing in revenue.

For the last couple of years, it actually started to feel like it was really legal here, even though the original state law passed years ago...

Sucks if the feds ruin everything again... things have been working out fine without them

He issued a non-binding presidential memo regarding. Then he sat back and allowed things to quietly return to normal. Now he is indirectly taking a harder stance than Bush. This seems like a bad time for him to alienate the fringey left, but maybe he thinks he's lost them already.

Disappointing stuff. The pot industry is one of the few things that is going economically right in any way for California or a lot of the left coast...I hope they make an enormous fuss over the jobs this will lose...
