I need to sit down and listen with a good set of headphones. But as usual, Sadistik writes and raps his ass off on this album.

I couldn't say one way or another, as I've never listened to him, but I appreciate the fact that you came on here just to let everyone know. This kind of brutal honesty makes me laugh.

I can tell you that's not how the people who were close to Eyedea feel about him, although the influence is obvious. Guess what? There is a Midwest style. Especially, more to say, a Twin Cities style. It's a real thing. Slug and Eyedea were figures to some of us, people that guided personal evolution and the evolution of the artform. I get that some people shit on that, but I've lived and participated in the Midwestern scene for the past 15 or so years and those are just real forces, I think for totally understandable reasons. It's probably especially true for this guy as he was a personal friend of Eyedea. I just had brief words with Moodie Black who is on tour with Dark Time Sunshine about just this exact thing the other night, he has a song that's pretty much about this phenomenon, and much wackness, to be sure, has come of it, but hey, some people liked Eyedea enough that his style influenced theirs. So shocking?

I think Sadistik is exciting. He's incisive. He can fucking write that shit, he has a gift for the crisp turn. (where Eyedea would sometimes meander). I was lucky enough to be exposed to leakage of this album and I've been amped about it and I bought it the first day it was out for the first time I've done that in god knows how many years. So agree to disagree.

It's interesting to me to see folks that I remember posting on forums and stuff in the early 00s doing stuff now. My path crosses with other people I knew from that era of indie rap and it's always just a kind a "wow" moment that we've all been doing it that fucking long.

Fake Four is awesome. Looking forward to actually sitting down with this album.

I don't mean to senselessy poop all over the guy. Its clear he actually likes the eyedea comparisons so no need to cry. Glad to see that he's touring with DJ Abilities these days. More power to him.
