And yeah good kid mad city is probly the best rap album in years and years. That's if you ignore the poetic justice song. That's the worst song onh a great album since black shampoo. I have to pretend it doesn't exist.

its like kanye heard saul williams for the first time and failed at jacking his style.
i've heard some people say this.

I've surprisingly been hearing this thrown around a bit too, and only one person has even responded to people asking them to clarify further. Unfortunately, after fumbling over a bunch of words, that person eventually admitted that they really haven't listened to much Saul Williams or Kanye West and they really didn't know what they were talking about, just that they had heard other people make the comparison. It's entirely possible I'm just not savvy enough about either artist to understand the comparison myself, but no one seems to be willing or able to understand why they are making in the first place.

Just drakes verse. So maybe not "perfect" but close enough. The song is great. As thick and heavy as the album is every song works by itself. There's so much going on. It's dark, funny and banging. Talking about rappers rapping their asses off, he slays the track Maad City as slain as any rapper has slayed anything before him. And then the jump when the next beat comes in. Kills me everytime. It brings so many feelings I haven't felt in years and makes me feel totally new things.

Guys I really like this album. I don't know if you've picked up on that.

Neuro, how aren't you concurring that GKMC is the most amazing thing ever?

Every album is a concept album. This is one of the best albums I've ever heard. I like Section.80 a lot. GKMC blows me away. It's perfect. I'm pumped to see what else this dude does.

I guess I just have different views on what a concept album is or maybe I should've called it a different label, either way meh.

Any yes, poetic justice is not worthy haha

I think it's funny that Spotify's tracklist has God as a guest vocalist on I Am A God.

Kendrick is the best rapper I have heard in a long, long time...I really hope his career pans out..he seems to have a good head on him..

That Ab Soul album Control System has better moments though..there's three or four joints on that that surpass anything Kendricks done IMO..Book of Soul is probably about the most touching hiphop song I've ever heard and that's saying a lot..

I think Life has taken over PJ as my most listened to Sage album right now. It's never too far from my rotation. It's a brilliant concept album. I'm growing.

I haven't really paid much attention to Kendrick's cohorts. I do like some schoolboy q songs. I'll check ab-soul.

I wish Working Man would've came out in like October or something. I remember feeling the same way about The Failure. It'll make a big come back when it gets chilly and I'm trudging through Detarctic.
