Sundays episode was the best on this season so far. The end was a real "oh sh!t" moment.

Don't get me wrong. Im right there with ya. There seems to be a lot of gaps in time, how, why, and what the hells with every episode. I've gone so far with this series, I need to give it the proper burial and ride it through the end.

Well, Dexter is all finished now. They managed to wrap up the series with the worst episode of the entire series. No spoilers though. Send this show up the Gulf Stream

Welp, that was about as fun as finally shooting a beloved pet in the face after it crawls out of the woods foaming and riddled with advanced rabies.

It was like that, but drawn out over 8 seasons. I am a fool. No more Showtime for me.

This season ruined the series of Dexter. There must have been a big change in the writers. The Alaska scene only functions as an open end to continue the series or spin off a new show.

It was interesting to me that just before the final episode aired there was this send-off to all the fans and how great they were for sticking with the show. And then the show ended with probably the biggest fuck you to the fans imaginable. Deb dies, nobody ever finds out Dexter is a serial killer (which would have been a much more thrilling narrative), and we're supposed to believe that Dexter pilots his boat into a hurricane and then miraculously survives? Get. The. Fuck. Outta. Here. I thought that the show could only end with either Dexter's death at the hands of Deb, or with him managing to escape, scot-free. I suppose he achieved the latter, but it was all very anti-climactic. So ya, the door is open for a spin-off or continuation, but who the fuck is going to watch it? Also, no resolution of the Dark Passenger, which we have to constantly endure Dexter narrating about? At least give us a voiceover at the end to indicate one or the other. Such a disappointment and a cop-out.
