I really really wish Snyder and Lindelof would stop touching things I love. They are just the worst. Not that Lindelof has anything to do with anything. He's just awful and I don't understand why he is still working.

I've got a long list of movies I've yet to make time for, and am quite behind.

Recently checked out Hobo with a Shotgun and I think I liked the idea of it more than what it actually turned out to be, which for me was like it was trying too hard to be a David Lynch'esque B movie.

Also checked Your Sister's Sister. While the Duplass brothers can sometimes be hit or miss for me, Emily Blunt can do no wrong for me. Believable little predicament that was, and well scripted.

Outside of checking for newer movies I haven't seen, I think I'm ready to get a 'must see summer movies' list together since I start getting nostalgic for certain movies according to the season.

Michael Keaton is and will always be the only Batman. Had PRINCE as his soundtrack for God sake. All other arguments are null and void

this

When arguing Batman there is no arguing over who plays the better Bat Man.

If anything Affleck as Batman peaked my interest in this shitshow of a movie. He's got the chin at the very least.

We all know Bateman as Batman is really the only thing that makes sense for this film though.

I thought the last Batman was awful, so I can't expect that adding Ben Affleck and Superman while subtracting Christopher Nolan is going to right that ship for me.

"Pacific Rim" was beautiful to watch and painful to listen to. The special effects almost made it worth it, and I'm not really even much of an action fan, but the visuals were really cool. Some of the most generic dialogue I have heard in a movie not from the 1980s, though.

"Fruitvale Station" was exactly what one would expect. Some of it felt contrived, but in the end watching Michael B. Jordan die in agony on screen again is even more moving than the first time I saw it on The Wire. It seems impossible to not have your emotions stirred up watching that movie. I'm glad I saw it, but I never want to watch it again.

What "The Iceman" lacked in narrative detail, Michael Shannon more than made up for it with his screen presence. I don't know that anyone has ever played psychopaths as well as he does. Crazy story about a crazy dude played by a crazy good actor. Winona Ryder was also stellar. Definitely worth a watch.

I'm a sucker for stories told from the perspective of adolescent boys so "Mud" hit a soft spot. It's a cute story that can be silly at times. Matt Mcconaughey plays the drifting fugitive beach bum he was always destined to play. The kid gives a fine performance, as well.
