What Did You Do for Labor day?  Reply with quote

The quiet day. Welcome Day Off Work. Celebrated since 1882. First held on a Tuesday, then switched to a Monday.

Happy Labor Day!

Today, I worked. And volunteered to work longer. I like to be a rebel.

You said a lot of nice things about me in your introduction post in another thread. Thank you for that. Glad to have you here.

This thread you just created reads kind of like a status update on Facebook. So let's save it from sinking to the bottom like a brick. Tell us something. Whatever you want. But go more in depth.

I don't know. I just didn't want the few regulars we have kicking around here putting you through the ringer just because you don't have a handle on the mode of operations around here.

Have you seen Donnie Darko?

*sigh*

Donnie Darko. Once- didn't jive but once read a review or something about it which made me mentally note to give it another try.

I'm less a TV person and more of a book/knowledge person. I bought a Charles Bukowski book on Amazon last night at two in the morning. Do you read him?

The thing about books I will tell you is that to the right person it serves as almost an addiction. Like you have to have "them all". Then your closets are full of them, your room, everywhere....books....... point being, I hope I read this book and it doesn't just sit and mock me like my other thousands of books......

I chased a rainbow only to find there was no pot of gold at the end. Just more rain.

It was cool though; never seen the actual end of a rainbow

I think Bukowski books are a perfect gateway to many more Bukowski books.
They're really fun reads.

Now that you've created "The Depth Thread" I'll lock this one up. I think that one might result in some more activity. However, you should stick to just that one thread and not create any more for a little while. It's not a rule rule. Just a general rule. ha.

Seriously though, enjoy those books. They're calling your name and you've got time to spare.
