Gun Godz w/ Louie Rankin  Reply with quote

I was listening to this song for the first time in awhile today and was really impressed with Louie Rankin's performance on this song. It also struck me how potentially odd of a pairing this was. I was curious how that collaboration came about and what the process was like working on that track.

Listening to this right now for the first time in a long time...it's making me wonder why I resorted to lazy, generic slut-shaming lyrics when there were a million other ways for me to work my way around Louie Rankin's lyrics. The rhyme scheme is cool and all, but the overall execution was definitely underwhelming. Different era with different expectations of course. I don't know if I actually have the time to answer the questions you're asking right now, but that's not because they're not good questions. It's a long story. And it's 6am in Adelaide.

Didn't read like a tease to me, really. Why breathe more life into work when that's how you feel about it?

Also, even though I love hearing behind the scenes bits, I was chop bustin'. Bustin' chops.

Absolutely. HTDD, Li(f)e, Sick of Wasting and now Sick to Death all got song write ups, which is generous. Though, what id be more interested in hearing are any impartial observations of journalism and its methods of playing on the weaknesses of peoples psyche, such as credulity. I know the primary focus is the music, but I think it would make a great side question for an interview. Just me?
