Alias, that was pretty cool. What do you think of Maschine...does it open up new creativity/make things easier? Did you go with the Micro or the big 'un? I'm debating on getting more into Ableton.

Just made this today.

Ableton is totally the way. The live options are just undisputable. If I wasn't married to fruity loops because of the beat slicer I'd pick it up in a second.

If you can keep all the grimy nash of your hardware pieces and layer that into ableton faces will get (more) melted.

I wish I had time to bust out a video of making the beats on the OP-1. It's just like fruity loops in some ways for ease of workflow (if you're a chopper and synth noodler)
I kinda like the limited recording space too cause it forces you to continually move on and mutate your beats without getting so attached to any one sample bank or sequence (though you still have the option to archive your tracks and all that)

I love that I can just scan the built in FM radio and take like 20 seconds of Sade off the smooth jazz station or some top 40 rappy shit -And chop and pitch em and make the nasty nasty as easy as drawing in a sketchbook. -For me anyway.

AdamBomb that beat is raw and perfect. I get a fall season, creepy Halloween-ish, bob your head vibe from it, and I appreciate it.

Killer beat Adam. It makes me think that you sampled Chewbacca and tweaked the F out of it. Awesome

I discovered this today and thought I'd post it here. It's a bit more clubby than I typically care for, but it's interesting nonetheless. It's certainly worth a listen or two.

Here's what the group says about themselves:

"We're an all Native American DJ crew from Ottawa Canada. We remix traditional Pow Wow music with contemporary club sounds. Here's a link to our debut and FREE album www.electricpowwow.com."

Here's their soundcloud link:

I'm listening to it right now and it's actually pretty good.

Hell yeah Theory77. You killed it on this mix. Being a drummer first and a "wannabe" producer second. At 18:00 minutes in using the John Bonham When the Levey Breaks beat is tasty as hell. I've got a soft spot in my heart for the song. Respect
