SFF tattoo thread!!! Post yours!  Reply with quote

I know there's already a thread about bad tattoos, but I thought we could use a good tattoo thread (of ours, not ones posted from websites).

I'm getting a big coverup done tonight on a godawful tattoo i've had for....14 years, I got when I was high, 18 years old, and very stupid. It's been a while. How much are you typically supposed to tip? A percentage of the total, depending on customizing, attitude? What's the formula? It's going to end up being a quarter sleeve. I'm excited. So much for getting the Maschine for a while.

My wife got his one on her side last night and i've never seen some of the faces she made.....not sure I ever want anything on my ribs now.

can't wait for this ugly turd to be gone....

I think it's to give us a better idea of how big his awful tattoo is.

haha, hosers, think of it as 1/4 of a loonie, but worth slightly more.

The guy doing the cover-up is actually from California. He's only here for 5 days. I put the quarter there and took the photo so he could design it before he flew out to Texas. Also wanted him to see how much of a black chunk he'd have to cover up.....that's the only part I'm really worried about. That's a lot of black and a lot of scar tissue to go through. Lovely.

Tomorrow morning i won't have to look at myself topless in the mirror and cry at it's ugly. Pics to follow.

Haha, the Quarter on your arm reminds me of a joke I played on a friend a few months ago. My friend just got his half sleeve done in November and the final thing he got added to it was a Penny (heads-up) on the outside of his arm (the whole piece was on the same theme, "lucky objects"...horseshoe, rabbits foot, finding a penny heads up, etc.) Anyway, after he got it done he came over to show it off and I convinced him that the face on the penny was facing the wrong direction. Needless to say, instead of just holding a penny up to the tattoo to verify what I said, he went back to his artist (with me in tow) and started to cuss him out and demanded his money back along with the artist correcting the tattoo. The artist just simply held up a penny to his arm, showed my friend that it is facing the proper direction, and told him to leave.

He's still plotting to get even.

Thanks, the artist that did it is amazing. She's right down the street from me. This portrait is actually my father at the age of 17.
