the reason i put that in there is because i have mentioned i'd like to see that and i believe she also stated that too

frank miller really does need to be included in the next batman movie

Frank Miller 30 years ago-yeah. His notion of batman these days is a little crazy pants. It would be fun to watch, but I think I would be like one of five people who would like it.

There's plenty of people who get Batman. They could easily cobble together a staff of Scott Snyder, Grant Morrison, Geoff Johns and bang out a good Batman movie.

I think probably more important is geetting a director that is more character driven and more visceral. Like I said, Wiending-Refn would be my choice. he knows how to do Character driven brutality in his sleep. He'd translate well to doing a really brutal tortured Batman that would give us what we missed in this trilogy.

since when does geoff johns get batman?

My favorite Batman has always been the one written by Alan Grant and drawn by Norm Breyfogle..

Director Christopher Nolan recently took some time to explain the open-ended conclusion to The Dark Knight Rises and how the trilogy's resolution fits into the series as a whole.

The filmmaker told Film Comment, "For me, The Dark Knight Rises is specifically and definitely the end of the Batman story as I wanted to tell it, and the open-ended nature of the film is simply a very important thematic idea that we wanted to get into the movie, which is that Batman is a symbol.

"He can be anybody, and that was very important to us. Not every Batman fan will necessarily agree with that interpretation of the philosophy of the character, but for me it all comes back to the scene between Bruce Wayne and Alfred in the private jet in Batman Begins, where the only way that I could find to make a credible characterization of a guy transforming himself into Batman is if it was as a necessary symbol, and he saw himself as a catalyst for change and therefore it was a temporary process, maybe a five-year plan that would be enforced for symbolically encouraging the good of Gotham to take back their city.

Continued Nolan, "To me, for that mission to succeed, it has to end, so this is the ending for me, and as I say, the open-ended elements are all to do with the thematic idea that Batman was not important as a man, he's more than that. He's a symbol, and the symbol lives on."

how come on the bluray/dvd release of dark knight rises it switches from fullscreen to widescreen back and fourth through the whole movie, i looked it up online and people say because of the imax shot scenes, but it just doesnt make sense to me cause there have been many many imax films that havent been released like that

From memory it would have also done that when you saw it at the cinemas.... you're right, it's cause of the IMAX cameras only being used for some of the film... The parts that were filmed with them have the wider screen..
