Forgot how amazing Buck is as a performer.

He tore it down last night in VA.

Even the (apparently) completely new track about a horny cowboy.

Highly recommend this tour.

Yeah, the Bowery show was a great time. Buck did two sets; one of new material with the dazzling Marlene and one of classic goodies by self. I never tire of seeing Buck spit a verse, turn to his side and DJ. I also never tire of his quirky stories. Was cool to see him answer some of the crowd's song requests with Food and Bandits. I yelled for Superstars Don't Love but didn't get it. I also didn't get a CD of 20 Odd Years! I was quite disappointed at first, thought for sure I'd finally pick it up at this show. Had vinyl, no CD's. Grrr. Buck made it up to me by being such a gentleman and signing a record for my buddy's birthday. I told him he was the best writer in the biz and he denied it. Oh, Buck. I've seen him a good amount of times but never got to talk to him after the show, so that was cool. I enjoyed Beans' set as well... never really checked for him or Anti-Pop before. I was a little worried about the turnout at first but it filled out ok. Overall, mucho divertido.

So excited for this. I haven't seen Buck in 5 or 6 years. Anyone else going to the San Diego show or know what the set up of the Casbah is like? I'm still relatively new to the city and haven't been to a show there yet.

The Casbah is cool. It's small and quaint. The bar is left of the stage and the outdoor area is in the back. I'll be there as well.

Then two days after Buck 65 is Sole at the Soda Bar!
