Let's play spot the reference!

School's out for summer. School's out forever. - Alice Cooper
It's all over now, baby blue. - Bob Dylan
Sure shot. - Beastie Boys
Dead to the world. Bury me now. - Uncle Sage

If you got the money, honey, we got your disease. - Guns n Roses
Because the piano's been drinking, not me. - Tom Waits
Because I'm wanted dread or alive. - Bon Jovi
Nowhere to hide. - That joint from the warriors movie?
Smoke on the water. Fire in the sky. - Deep Purple

No man's an island. I am a rock. - Simon and Garfunkel/Islandman (he's a rock star!)
I ain't ever gonna die. I ain't ever gonna die. - Sage again

Staring down the barrel of a gun. - Depeche Mode?
Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues. Dylan again

Bye bye Miss American Pie. Whiskey and rye are what the good old boys are drinking. - Whoever did this song before Madonna
Marvin was left with a hole in his chest. - B. Dolan
The boombox is dead. - Prolyphic
The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves. - Springsteen

What have you been able to pick up?

The "son of a gun" line that's next means it's probably "Looking Down The Barrel of a Gun" by the Beastie Boys.

That would be Don McLean...

I was kinda hoping for the full Clarence Clemons treatment. B. Dolan style. The man was my hero when I was a kid, listening to my fathers Springsteen records.

Still a good song though.
