Wake up.  Reply with quote

If you hear "wake up" and you don't know what I'm talking about. You need to find out. Everybody needs to, and once you've come to you're own conclusion educate and prepare. Any questions email me @malignantsociety @ Gmale.cm

I thought it was a Bone Thugs reference, but then I realized it is in fact the 11th and not the 1st of the month.

I was thinking this was going to be RATM Live At Coachella.
...where they accused the US gov't of crimes of war.

Last night, Barack denounced chemical warfare and crimes of war.

No I did not. I'll hunt it down though. When I say wake up I mean that in reference to what's going on in our country and the rest of the world.

When I look around I see mass distraction. Everybody is so consumed with what's going on in their little personal bubble that they've become complacent and are staggeringly oblivious.

Everybody's too busy bickering amongst themselves about who's right and who's wrong. What's better and what's worse... that they're missing this raging forest fire for the trees that don't even really exist.

How, exactly, does one wake up? What are your proposed solutions to a somnambulant society? Or did you just intend to run around screaming at people until their eyes open? I appreciate the sentiment of what you're trying to do, and even agree with you that most people, for their part, are far too absorbed and egocentric to care about or even consider the world outside of their immediate sphere. But harping about this on a message board whose main purveyors are to various degrees enlightened seems like meaninglessly academic chest-thumping. Hit the streets, not the internet, unless you actually have a significant twitter or blog following.

In my experience people who declare that everyone needs to "wake up" are usually just as close minded as those they deride. Usually far left, but sometimes with a libertarian bent, they use the word “sheeple” regularly. Typically, they’re not the sort of elitist who think they know better than everyone else because they’re smarter – far from it. They tend to blame all the world problems on ignorance – if everyone had access to the right information (that is, their preferred news sources) without the distractions of football / Miley Cyrus / Fox News / Toddlers and Tiaras, we’d all come to the “right” conclusion regarding Syria / Taxation / Global Warming / the matter at hand.

Not saying you're one of those, 27. But that's what "wake up" reminds me of.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I admit you take a look at one or two of those and they look crazy as shit. I'm not trying to convince anybody of anything, in fact I encourage you to investigate out of the assumption that I am lying.

And make up your own mind. When you do that and you see the greater picture (which is still not nearly the whole picture) conspiracies kind of go out the window.

Just give it a try what would be the harm.

A good starting point would be to watch the videos about the death of William Cooper. A retired Naval Intelligence Officer and highly decorated Vietnam vet.

Think about some of the recent things that have passed pretty much destroying are constitutional rights.

Think about the fact that prior to us going to Afghanistan they're opium production was very small. Today they produce over 90% of the worlds supply. This change happened while our troops were there, troops sent by our government who is so adamant about the war on drugs and ending addiction. I don't know about you but this disturbs me.

There's a lot of digging to do and a lot of misinformation which makes it more difficult... But I assure you all the proof is out there, official documents, just all kinds of stuff.
